BARNSLEY
Once again Billington, hoard-it and Shafton staff joined together with their families for fun and frolics at the annual Billington Hog Roast Charity Fundraiser!
This year the event was hosted at our hoard-it site and, despite the summer showers, a great time was had by all. Food and drink flowed freely throughout the afternoon with everyone looking forward to the results of the raffle and iPad guessing game.
We received some fantastic prize donations from our suppliers, for which we are incredibly grateful, and we are pleased to announce that we raised an impressive £1,750 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance; a worthy cause who provide such an excellent service to the region.
BRISTOL
The previous week, it was the turn of our southerly counterparts to make merry for a good cause. The Bristol-based factory hosted their own charity hog roast in aid of Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity: The Grand Appeal – a charity with personal significance to our staff.
Even with the marquee threatening to take off in the gale-force winds, spirits were high, the pig was crispy and we raised a fantastic £750 from donations and the raffle.
