Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre (CERC)

The Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre (CERC) should open for business in May 2016, generating about 20 megawatts of electricity from 240,000 tonnes of residual waste per year. It will be operated by waste management firm SITA UK. Main activities include excavating the flue gas treatment area and building the foundations of the turbine hall, waste bunker and 120-metre high stack.
