Location
The role will be based at home, but the successful candidate will be expected to make regular visits to our Barnsley HQ and attend weekly client facing meetings.

Our experienced workforce can tackle projects from simple building frames to the most complex structures. With plants in Barnsley and Bristol, we have the capability to process 50,000 tonnes of steel per annum, and are able to service clients at locations throughout the UK and Europe.
Job Description
- Generate Tender enquiries that are aligned with BSL overall sales strategy, size & type of target projects. Establish and develop strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Assist the sales team with exploring and opening up new market sectors for the business.
- Play a key role in achieving the business’s annual turnover targets and the medium to long term growth targets.
- Will be expected to identify client needs and assist with developing the sales strategy to secure projects.
- Following up on tender submissions and liaising with estimators regarding feedback and closing out post tender queries.
- Record client communications on Gmis.
- There will be a requirement for travelling and overnight stay.
- Occasional requirement to be available at weekends for client entertainment.

Qualifications
(desirable but not essential)
- HND / HNC, degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate technical or engineering related discipline.
Experience
- A thorough knowledge of the structural steel industry.
- A proven track record of successfully generating and managing client relationships.
- A thorough practical understanding of the pre-construction process with the ability to work from home.
