Billington Structures are investing in the future of our industry by sponsoring a local school. Norton Junior School in Doncaster hosted a week-long celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) for British Science Week (week commencing 12th March).
Lead in Science at the school, Richard Henfield, is keen to use this week to ignite young minds who will one day be the future architects, designers, fabricators and problem solvers of the world.
With education budgets ever in flux, sponsorship from the local community and local businesses is increasingly important to enable young students the opportunity to have these experiences.
Billington were only too happy to help and our Production Director, Simon Barnes went along for one of the days to join in the fun and hopefully impart some of his knowledge and enthusiasm to the students.
Who knows, he may have met some Billington employees of the future!
