Barberry Warehouse

BRISTOL

The Barberry development of 556,000 square feet of industrial/warehouse space will bring around 700 new jobs to Bristol and provide a boost to the construction sector.

Located at Central Park, Avonmouth, this project will provide the final industrial phase of the 350-acre park. Central Park has several major occupiers including The Range, DHL, Amazon, Lidl and Farmfoods.

The five portal-framed steel structures vary in size, the largest measuring 76.5m-long x 64.2m-wide and formed by a series of 38.25m-long rafters arranged in pairs with a bolted splice connecting to a central ridge beam. The smallest is a 45m-long x 25m-wide single bay portal-framed structure.

All five units feature internal mezzanine floors and offices. Billington Structures has designed, fabricated and erected more than 580 tonnes of structural steel for the project.
