Billington Structures Ltd is pleased to announce that it has won the Public Vote category at Trimble’s UK Tekla Awards 2017, after being recognised for its innovative use of Tekla Structures for the Project Beagle – Ingenuity House project for Interserve.
The Tekla Awards focuses on projects of all shapes and sizes, which have used Trimble’s Tekla Structures as part of the process for designing and modelling projects.
The entries submitted into the Public Vote category were judged by the general public who chose the model that they deemed the most impressive. Mark Smith, Managing Director, Billington Structures Ltd said: “To win the public vote in the UK Tekla Awards is a tremendous achievement for Billington. The project – Ingenuity House/Project Beagle – was a pleasure to work on with main contractor, Interserve.
“The complexity of the building challenged us, especially from a technical point of view in relation to structural and dimensional stability during the phased construction works, a challenge that would have been extremely difficult to solve without the modern 3D modelling and analysis software capabilities such as those offered by Tekla.”
