On Friday 22nd September, Billington Holdings Charity Foundation hosted their much-anticipated 4th Annual Charity Hog Roast at our production premises in Wombwell, Barnsley and Yate, Bristol.
Despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, it was a heart-warming success. The event was organised to support Cancer Research UK, a cause chosen as the Charity of the Year by employees.
The festivities unfolded at Yate, where an enthusiastic crowd gathered to make a difference. While the skies might have been overcast, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, camaraderie, and the delicious aroma of sizzling hog roast.

The week leading up to the Yate event saw an equally spirited gathering at the Head Office in Barnsley. This prelude featured a delightful array of attractions, including children’s rides, an ice cream van, and a live performance by the talented local band, Undergroove Duo. The sun graced the occasion with its presence, creating a perfect backdrop for a day of celebration and charity.
To help raise as much money as possible, our staff and their families bought plenty of raffle tickets, thanks to the help of our wonderful suppliers for their donations.
Billington are pleased to announce that the joint total raised at these events was a fantastic amount of £3.2K! This substantial contribution will undoubtedly make a meaningful impact in the ongoing fight against cancer.
