Prudential Peddling Billington Structures

On 31st July our Technical Director, Simon Thrift took part in the Prudential Ride London event to raise money for charity. With the streets of London closed to vehicles, 27,000 cyclists (and many more supporters) adorned the 100-mile route from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to the finish line at The Mall, taking in sites such as the Tower of London, Hampton Court and Buckingham Palace.

The event is in its fourth year having been developed by the Mayor of London and his agencies after the 2012 Olympics.

Simon undertook this challenge in order to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust; a charity close to his heart that works to find stem cell transplant donors for cancer sufferers. So far Simon has raised over £1000 for the charity which he is absolutely delighted about:‘This is by far the best event I have ever participated in. On Just Giving in July, we were in the top 5% for money raised, so thank you all from the bottom of my heart for donating, sharing and generally giving your kind support.’

Simon’s Just Giving page is still open so if you are able, please donate. Any amount, small or not so small would be very gratefully received:
