Following in the wake of their Wombwell colleagues, it was Yate staff’s turn to hog the limelight when they invited their families to join in the fun at the hog roast fundraiser on Friday 16th September.
As with the Wombwell event the week previous, Director’s and Managers wanted to show their appreciation and gratitude to employees for their continued hard work. Directors from head office travelled down for the ‘do’ and they were delighted to meet special guest Roy ‘Paddy’ Smith, Town Mayor of Chipping Sodbury and Billington Paint Shop Operative (below, centre).
All proceeds raised from the event were donated to St Peter’s Hospice – a Bristol-based charity caring for adults with life-limiting illnesses, who aim to improve the quality of patients’ lives and deaths, whilst extending care and support to their families and loved ones.
Sale of raffle tickets and generous donations by staff and guests on the day amounted to an impressive £510.00 for the hospice.
