Billington Structures

Following the announcement made on 1 May regarding the award of a significant new contract, Billington Structures enters 2026 on a positive trajectory.

This latest success further strengthens our order book and reinforces our position within key strategic sectors, providing continued confidence as we move through the year ahead.

As we look at the year ahead, Billington Structures will continue to build on a strong and diverse order book, operating across a broad range of sectors throughout the UK. Our current workload reflects both the confidence of long-standing clients, and the continued trust placed in us by new customers, to deliver complex, high-value projects.

Throughout 2026, our teams will be involved in a number of major projects spanning a range of industries including energy, infrastructure, commercial development, education and healthcare. Several of these schemes are already underway, while others are scheduled to commence later in the year and extend into 2027, providing continuity and stability for the business.

Energy and Infrastructure

Within the energy and infrastructure sectors, we are delivering structural steelwork packages for multiple Energy from Waste (EfW) sites, and other power generation facilities, including the South Clyde Energy Centre in Scotland and the Walsall Energy Recovery Facility. Later this year, we are due to begin work on the Net Zero Teesside Power Station, which forms part of a national programme that supports the UK’s transition to a low-carbon energy infrastructure. These projects demand a high level of technical capability, planning and coordination, three areas where Billington Structures has considerable experience.

Commercial

Our commercial portfolio remains equally strong in 2026. At Doncaster Gateway, we are contributing to the delivery of a five-storey digital and technology hub that forms part of the town’s wider regeneration strategy. We are also involved in large-scale industrial and logistics developments, including works at Stallingborough Interchange, supporting the continued expansion of port-related infrastructure across the Humber region.

Public Sector

In the public sector, we are delivering steel solutions for projects that support essential community services. This includes the redevelopment of Wales High School in South Yorkshire, and works associated with the New Hospital Programme at Kettering General Hospital.

Alongside these projects, our pipeline includes further schemes within data centres and specialist industrial facilities, with additional contracts scheduled to commence later this year and into 2027.

With a steady and well-balanced workload across multiple sectors, Billington Structures remains well-positioned for the year ahead. Backed by in-house expertise, modern fabrication facilities and a collaborative approach to project delivery utilising inhouse Group companies, we will continue to provide complex steel solutions to the highest standards across the UK.
